"On our walking tours, we carefully choose our accommodations to complement our ecotourism accredited tours.  All places are unique, but Mt Hyland Wilderness Retreat is a special experience for all our guests.  Without exception, our clients tell us that their stay at the lodge was a highlight of the tour: the beautiful environment, the cosy house, and, very important, the hospitality and sharing spirit of our hosts.  We had actually guests saying, that never in their life did they enjoy such a relaxing, peaceful and inspiring atmosphere as at Mt Hyland Wilderness Retreat!

As a passionate bird watcher I love exploring the forests of Mt Hyland Wilderness Retreat. The birds are diverse & stunning, including many rarer ones such as Lyrebirds, Paradise Riflebirds, Logrunners & Glossy Black Cockatoos. The NSW Bird Atlassers had their Xmas Camp at Mt Hyland.  All participants were delighted vowing to return again. It is indeed a wonderful place with magical forests full of birdlife.
