We
offer accommodation for individuals, couples, families as well as
groups of up to 30 people. Our facilities and our beautiful place
here in the forest is also available for workshops and retreats for
those wishing to connect deeply to the earth and within themselves. Our
steadily growing range of courses and retreats will allow you, for
example, to explore native skills and philosophies, wilderness and bush
survival skills, plant identification, environmental studies,
meditation practices, or simply to rest and regenerate.
We have six types of
rainforest communities and eight open forest communities surrounding
our Lodge and the adjoining Mt Hyland Nature Reserve.(See the botanical overview for more detailed
information.) There are many species of plants and animals present
here, all living in their native habitats, and some of them rare and
endangered: over a 100 species of birds; koalas, wallabies, possums,
gliders, kangaroos, bandicoots, quoll, 10 types of frogs, and a variety
of reptiles, just to mention a few. (The NSW National Parks and
Wildlife Service has a species list for Mt Hyland Nature Reserve on its
Wildlife Atlas website.)
"Through our relationship with the natural world
we unfold the messages of life and meet with our own peace."
